I will be introducing some of the webtools that may be beneficial for teachers and students as a series under the title ‘Teaching On – Line’. I hope you like it.
Voki is an animated presentation tool which can improve education, participation, and understanding of the students. Learning with having fun should be the right sentence to express Voki application. Language teachers can use Voki as a material while teaching any subjects like grammar or vocabulary.
Besides the teachers who create a Voki, students can also create their own Voki as an assignment. Students, especially the younger ones, will love to deal with those assignment because creating a Voki is similar to play games. Shall we look at how does this process work?
The Features of Voki
- For the first step, after the log in, creators should choose their avatar or character. There are so many options for creating the avatar such as folk, animals, cartoons, monsters, and so on.
- The creator can also choose what accessory his/her avatar wear and in addition to that they can decide the background.
- There are 30 different language voice-overs available, but the creator can use his/her own voice to voice-over the character.
