🟡 TEACHING ON-LINE: QUIVERVISION

I will be introducing some of the webtools that may be beneficial for teachers and students as a series under the title ‘Teaching On – Line’. I hope you like it.

“Augmented reality is the rendering of digital images or data onto real-world objects.” – Bryan Ma, vice president of client devices research, IDC. It is in our hands to change our boring and colorless life into the opposite with using AR technology. Augmented Reality (AR) can be used not only with the headset but also people can us their smartphones, tablets, and other technological devices they have. Now, let’s talk about how we can use AR technology in our classes.

Students especially the younger ones are the people that can be distracted very easily. Teachers need to find different materials every lesson or topic they teach. However, there are not dozens of options to find a different one in each time if they do not use technology. Quivervision is one of the AR applications that supports education. With the help of Quivervision, students have fun while learning new things.

Language teachers can use this application especially when they are teaching vocabulary. It will be a very exciting activity for students to use Quivervision in their classroom instead of just looking the pictures of the vocabularies. The AR version of the pictures may increase the interest in the lesson and can help students to memorize the words very easily.

How to Use Quivervision?

  • Teachers need to print out coloring pages from the Quivervision site for the students to color in.

  • These colored images then brought to life by mobile phones and tablets.

  • Tab to play and enjoy!
