I will be introducing some of the webtools that may be beneficial for teachers and students as a series under the title ‘Teaching On – Line’. I hope you like it.

In language learning one of the most important parts of the learning is memorization of the vocabularies. From past to now language teachers have been trying to make vocabulary learning easy for their students. Writing all of the vocabularies on the notebooks repeatedly or creating flashcards are some of the techniques that have been used for many years.

Aside from those techniques, I want to share a website/ application which is a great way of learning and teaching vocabularies with using technology. Quizlet!

Quizlet is a website / application where students learn, repeat, and memorize vocabulary tasks while having fun. It is available for free for both teachers and students. Although teachers can use this application without paying, they can also upgrade their account to reach out more beneficial features such as tracking the students.

Now, let’s look how we can use this application / website.

For Teachers :

1. Create an account.

2. Create a class.

3. Create or browse sets for your class.

4. Invite your students to the class with code.

For Students :

1. Create an account.

2. Join the class with the given code.

3. Complete the tasks and enjoy learning!

There are more than one options for learning vocabularies. Students can choose whatever method they want.
